Tudor Place has over 18,000 objects, 250,000 documents, and 3,000 books in its collection. With a wide range of time periods, object types, and decorative arts styles, there is a lot to see here! Only some of the collection is currently searchable through this database; however, we are continually updating this page so be sure to check back regularly.

Tips for Searching

Keyword Search

Keyword Search allows you to search across multiple fields for any of our catalog records currently available online. Use OR as the default connector between words (e.g. a search for Martha Washington will return records associated with Martha OR Washington). To find records with both keywords, type AND between the two words. To search for a specific phrase, put the phrase within quotes (e.g. "Civil War"). You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard (e.g. a search for histor* would come up with records containing history, histories, historical, etc.). Searches are not case sensitive.

Advanced Search

Advanced Search can search for a word or phrase within a particular search category or narrow your search results. You can also search Creator records through Advanced Search. Phrase searching with quotes and use of wildcards (*) can be used.

Random Images

Random Images is a great way to browse the collection. Clicking Random Images displays a random assortment of images from the records currently available online. Click the thumbnail to view a larger version of the image.
